LGBT ACTIVIST SADAM MUGOYA GOES MISSING FOLLOWING THE PASSING OF ANTI HOMOSEXUALITY LAW.

Prior to the passing of the anti homosexuality bill mid 2023 human rights activist held an escalating campaign against sexual minorities. Mugoya Sadam later on 15 June, 2023 got arrested from office by law enforcers in disguise.

He was picked from youth on rock human rights foundation U LTD fighting for LGBTQ rights in the community . Sadam was put in custody with a number of people affiliated to the campaign. His family and relatives report and say that they have traced his whereabouts from nearby police station but no sign and knowledge on where the enforcers took him.

Following the The Anti-Homosexuality Act, 2023, an act of the Parliament of Uganda that restricts freedom of speech on LGBT civil rights and introduced harsher penalties for certain types of homosexual acts, the defenders and anyone who supports LGBTQ.

Punishments like life imprisonment and death sentence are likely to be given to the activist and LGBTQ subscribers once it is fully passed. The family of these people are scared that they might not see their loved ones again.
