10 Lucky Fans Win Motorbikes in Hamz Cup

Ten lucky fans, including three women and a journalist, rode home on brand-new motorbikes courtesy of Boda Union. The giveaways took place during the Hamz Cup football tournament round of 32 match between Boda Union and Veterans at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, on Tuesday, July 1st, 2025.

The thrilling game, broadcast live on NBS Sport, ended in a convincing 4-0 victory for Boda Union SC, sealing their place in the round of 16.

The evening’s excitement was amplified by a halftime and full-time raffle draw that saw fans with winning entry ticket numbers claim brand-new boda motorcycles.

“We are in the Hamz Cup tournament to compete and try to win the trophy. But we also want to give back to our members. We want to see them grow financially,”
Frank Mawejje, Boda Union chairman.

He added:

“We shall give out 20 Bodabodas at the next stage and also five land titles to our lucky winners. Let everyone get ready to buy a ticket and come support our team here at Nakivubo for a chance to be the next winner.”

According to Hakim Kasirye, the tournament coordinator, organizer Dr. Hamis Kiggundu of Ham Enterprises has staked Shs100 million in prize money, with the champion taking home Shs50 million cash. The runners-up prizes are also substantial:

  • Second place: Shs25 million
  • Third place: Shs15 million
  • Fourth place: Shs10 million

The round of 32 action continues Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025, with Kirumira/Ntinda taking on City Mall at Nakivubo Stadium.
