Security teams from the National Medical Stores (NMS), in collaboration with the Special Forces Command (SFC) and the Uganda Police Force, successfully foiled a robbery attempt at one of NMS’s rented warehouses in Entebbe. The incident occurred late on Tuesday night, and thanks to swift action, all medical supplies were recovered, and the suspects were apprehended without any disruptions to operations.
Sheilla Nduhukire, NMS Principal Public Relations Officer, confirmed the successful interception of the crime in a statement, detailing how NMS’s in-house security teams worked seamlessly with SFC and police forces. The area was cordoned off as a precautionary measure, allowing authorities to conduct an immediate investigation into the robbery attempt.
No Loss of Medical Supplies in Foiled Robbery
Nduhukire reassured the public that no medical supplies were lost during the robbery attempt. The suspects were intercepted on the premises, and the stolen items were recovered on-site. The prompt response of security agencies ensured that the operation was secured, and no further damage occurred.
