Lesly Jacobombaire Mucutuy (13), Soleiny Jacobombaire Mucutuy (9), Tien Ranoque Mucutuy (4), and infant Cristin Ranoque Mucutuy defied the harsh realities of the jungle, earning them the title of “children of the jungle.”
Their extraordinary journey began tragically when their mother, Magdalena Mucutuy Valencia, perished in a plane crash along with two other passengers. Left alone in the unforgiving wilderness, the children relied on the knowledge imparted by indigenous families and their own instincts to survive.
Despite the arduous conditions and numerous dangers lurking in the dense foliage, the children managed to navigate the jungle, foraging for food and finding shelter.
