City tycoon Hamis Kiggundu, also known as Ham, has nearly completed the redevelopment of Nakivubo Memorial stadium into a state-of-the-art sports facility.

The redevelopment has been a major talking point for years, and Ham has invested billions to turn it into a world-class sports venue.

The stadium will have a seating capacity of 40,000 spectators and three entrances, including one from Ssebana Kizito Road and two gates along Kafumbe-Mukasa road. Ham aimed to create a sports facility that meets the standards set by FIFA and is one of the best in Africa.

After completion, the stadium will be a multipurpose venue and the home of sports establishments, making it Kampala’s most famous and iconic ground. It will also have amenities such as restaurants, gyms, and facilities for people with disabilities.
