In a remarkable display of empathy and community spirit, Abdullah Kintu, a committed youth activist and political advocate, has launched a new initiative aimed at uplifting the lives of vulnerable communities in Uganda. Partnering with Jaroma Auto Spare Parts, Kintu has successfully mobilized funds to provide essential home utilities, clothing, mattresses and other basic necessities to disadvantaged families in Bududa and deep rural areas of Mbale.

Kintu, a member of the National Unity Platform (NUP) and a tireless advocate for social justice, has often been at the forefront of efforts to address inequalities in his homeland. His recent work, however, stands out as a testament to his unwavering dedication to improving the well-being of those most in need. “This initiative is about restoring dignity and hope to families who have been marginalized for too long,” Kintu said. “It’s about showing them that they are not forgotten, and that there are people who care about their future.”
The partnership with Jaroma Auto Spare Parts marks a significant milestone for Kintu, who has worked a variety of odd jobs throughout his life to support his activism. Despite facing financial struggles, Kintu has continuously found ways to mobilize resources to uplift others. “It’s not about how much we have,” he noted. “It’s about how much we’re willing to give to make a difference.”
The donations will go a long way in alleviating the challenges faced by many in Bududa and Mbale, regions that have historically struggled with poverty, lack of access to basic services, and limited infrastructure. Kintu’s initiative is particularly timely as it brings much-needed relief to families still grappling with the socio-economic impacts of the pandemic.

As Kintu continues to work towards a more just and equitable society, his efforts are inspiring a new generation of youth to take up the mantle of social change. “This is just the beginning,” he said with a determined smile. “Together, we can create a better Uganda for all.”
